Good beekeepers seek to continually improve their knowledge and skills. We are very proud that our members actively engage in educational events and club activities to improve and share their knowledge.
Becoming a member
Our members come from all backgrounds and levels of experience. New members are always welcome.
We have a number of different types of membership to suit varying personal needs
Associate Membership – This is ideal for anyone who is interested in beekeeping but who does not have their own bees. Associate Members will receive regular newsletter, are welcome to join us socially at the apiary on Saturday and attend talks & social events.
Full Registered Membership – Registered Membership is right for people who have their own bees. It includes all the benefits of Associate Membership plus membership of both Surrey Beekeepers Association and also the British Beekeepers Association. Beecraft Magazine, BBKA news and Bee Disease Insurance is included.
Junior Membership – We very much welcome Junior Members aged 12 – 18 years under the supervision of a parent or guardian who is a KBKA Member. Currently there is no charge for Junior Members
Country Member – Perfect for people who do not have their own bees but who wish to have all the benefits of Associate Membership and be a member of BBKA.
