About us

Welcome to the Kingston Beekeepers Association

Club and courses

Welcome to the Kingston Beekeepers Association (also known as the KBKA).

British beekeeping is run by enthusiastic amateurs through the British Beekeepers Association (BBKA). The Surrey Beekeepers Association is a registered charity with over 1000 members and seven local divisions including the Kingston Beekeepers Association.

Experienced beekeepers are very welcome to join the KBKA and share their knowledge with other members. We are a teaching apiary and take pride in offering introductory taster sessions, beginner and intermediate courses.

Our club apiary is in Thames Ditton, Surrey. We meet every Saturday afternoon from 2pm (April to September) to examine the hives. Visitors are always welcome, but please contact us first.

Events

We are very happy to attend events run by local schools, community groups and businesses. Our aim is to raise awareness of honey bees and their importance to our environment, society and economy. Please invite us to your event – contact us with more details of what you have in mind. See our diary for events, markets and festivals where you can meet us and buy our honey.
